About the Role

Crowe is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Government Consultant to join their public sector consulting practice. This role involves leading impactful projects to help government clients modernize their Human Capital Management (HCM) and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with public sector clients to design and implement solutions that improve business processes and address organizational challenges
  • Lead and mentor business analyst teams in conducting detailed process analysis and system assessments
  • Analyze business operations and develop actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, interviews, and workshops to gather business and technical requirements
  • Support clients with analytical research to align policies, procedures, and business needs with configured functionality
  • Apply Agile methodology to write user stories, plan and monitor development and deployment progress, and demonstrate delivered functionality
  • Support testing and reconciliation from the functional / business process perspective
  • Deliver high-quality written reports, process documentation, and engaging client presentations
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Support proposal development, client relationship management, and business development efforts

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and 5 to 8 years of professional experience in management consulting
  • Current certification in one or more of the following: CBAP, CSM, PMI-PBA, or PMP
  • In-depth knowledge of HR/Payroll processes
  • Prior experience implementing payroll or HCM software, including system configuration and testing
  • Prior experience using ALM software (JIRA, DevOps, ELM)
  • Experience performing work in a structured Agile or Scrum environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach within a matrixed environment
  • Strong experience working with public sector clients
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • A consistent record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Experience working on large projects (100k+ employees, multi-year implementations)
  • Experience working with enterprise-level government systems and public sector project lifecycles
