About the Role

As a Senior/ Principal Architect for Automotive in HERE Architecture team, you will be responsible for designing robust architectures that realize strategic customer use cases. These architecture deliveries have a material impact on customer success and HERE's business. You will engage with stakeholders to understand problems, derive insights, design solutions, and articulate them. You will also guide engineering teams, ensuring implementations align with architecture, addressing performance, scalability, security, and fault tolerance. A key aspect involves analyzing customer requirements, building in-depth understanding, and supporting the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Designing robust architectures that realize strategic customer use cases.
Engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders to build a detailed understanding of the problem, derive meaningful insights out of it, design architecture to solve the problem and articulate the solution to variety of stakeholders ranging from engineering to product to sales to customers.
Demonstrating leadership skills in guiding/mentoring engineering teams to build implementations that are accurately aligned with the architecture.
Addressing aspects like performance, scalability, security/privacy and foul tolerance in the design.
Defining the process around how the architecture would involve to support HERE business.
Analyzing customer requirements coming through various channels like RfQ, building an in-depth understanding of the customer needs, engaging with different technical and non-technical stakeholders to build a comprehensive solution architecture and actively supporting the project lifecycle from winning the project nomination to a closure through solution delivery.
Establish identification of key landmarks and triggers to be implemented in vision perception, to create and update HD Maps.
Drive key performance indices for real-time map updates, critical data pipeline inputs, latency requirements, and scalability.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in delivering software products or systems in various roles
Passionate about helping your customers succeed by enabling them to build a solution that creates maximum value.
Subject Matter Expert in building SDV solutions for navigation and/or automated driving systems.
Deep domain knowledge of AD systems, ADAS, and connected cars: in (automotive) positioning, vehicle sensor data, environmental model building, or Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms for autonomous driving applications.
Experience with digital map products, crowed source data products, or big data analysis is an advantage.
Experience in areas of our field of work, i.e., automotive, ADAS, automated driving, cloud services, automotive software, map data, Navigation Data Standard (NDS)
Experience with vehicle E/E architectures, technical implications of connected vehicles and map delivery ecosystems.
Familiar with industry standards and related regulations.
Deep prior experience in software engineering, building customer-facing products/systems and stakeholder management.
Experience in the automotive industry with respect to engagement models, and RFx procedures with OEMs
Customer-centric, solution-oriented and actionable approach to solving business problems.
Natural approach to build a robust software architecture while taking feedback from customers, PoCs, market and peer groups is vital to execute on responsibilities in this role.
Detailed knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP is an advantage.
