About the Role
Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology dedicated to alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life. This field-based Clinical Specialist role supports the Pelvic Health group, focusing on surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory. The position requires residing within the territory and driving to multiple accounts, with a valid driver's license being essential.
Responsibilities
- Represents Medtronic Pelvic Health during surgeries and implants by providing necessary equipment and products.
- Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implant, follow-up support, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintains current knowledge about assigned products, services, and competitive products.
- Proactively identifies needs and teaches a broader level of caregivers and account employees for new and existing accounts.
- Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters related to products and therapies through various educational formats.
- Assists district manager and in-house training department in educating new employees.
- Provides sales support during or following cases, including completing necessary documentation and executing invoices.
- Places orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
- Maintains open and effective communication with district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
- Contributes to the completion of milestones for regional and/or national projects.
- Understands applicable quality policy/system items.
- Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.
- Performs other related activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
- Driving record will be reviewed and considered.
- Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory.
- May require overnight travel.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
- Candidates hired below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
Skills
- Clinical skill and knowledge
- Ability to conduct a simple trial, implant and/or refill a pump
- Clinical experience with implantable Neuromodulation products and stim experience
- Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use
- Experience working with a medical device or pharmaceutical company
- Clinical experience in a specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, or home health care
- Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals
- Ability to coach others on use of products and clinical applications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- $76,000.00 - $114,000.00
