About the Role
The Fitness Manager is responsible for developing direct reports, growing the number of personal trainers, net client gain, and serviced hours. This role ensures a high standard of professionalism, results-based programming, and profitability within the Personal Training department, contributing to successful Club Operations by creating an engaging and motivating environment.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, selecting, onboarding and developing a successful team of Personal Trainers
- Leading the Personal Training Team through coaching and development to achieve Club Key Performance Indicators
- Managing the Personal Training experience by ensuring all Personal Training sessions are serviced according to GoodLife standards
- Managing Personal Training administration
- Working closely with all departments in the club to enhance overall club culture
Requirements
- Must have current, nationally recognized Personal Training certification
- Minimum 6 months in Assistant Fitness Manager role, 1-year Personal Training experience or other related experience in the health and fitness industry
- Proven success in leading, training and motivating diverse teams to achieve performance goals
- Success in achieving individual and team service and sales goals
- Skilled in customer service, building great relationships and influencing others
- Passion for helping others, and a commitment to personal health and fitness
- Committed to contributing to a culture that celebrates diversity, equity & inclusion and values giving back to communities
