About the Role

At NewYork-Presbyterian, our staff are essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. Our waste disposal professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. This part-time position is at CUMC campus, rotating shifts, with schedules on Weekends and Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks to ensure that all medical, solid and recyclable waste is disposed of in the proper manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• DOT certification to remove hazardous waste or to be completed within two months of hire.
• Certification to operate pallet jack and/or motorized pony cart or to be completed within two months of hire.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• All roles require on-site presence.
• Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
• NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
