About the Role
Installs, maintains, and repairs HVACR equipment and systems. This role involves performing minor HVACR tasks, routine maintenance, and assisting with more complex repairs under guidance.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor HVACR tasks including environmental condition adjustments, system monitoring, mechanical rounds, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist senior staff with complex tasks such as air system balancing, DDC system adjustments, and repairs to motors, fans, pumps, and other components.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment and system problems with basic understanding of HVACR functionality.
- Utilize HVAC and electrical tools and equipment for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of prints, specifications, OEM manuals, and FGI guidelines for troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for non-essential HVACR equipment/systems.
- Execute assigned tasks during utility/equipment shutdowns.
- Collaborate with HVACR contractors on system/equipment issues.
- Report task or preventive maintenance changes to senior staff or leadership.
- Communicate service, maintenance, or project work status to customers.
- Document all work performed and training received.
- Communicate with departmental and interdepartmental staff as required.
- Attend scheduled meetings and in-services.
- Keep all logs current.
- Maintain daily records of work and related information in the Facilities work order system.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels within established guidelines.
- Adhere to purchasing and department-specific procedures for supplies and materials.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC/R experience preferred.
- Health care experience preferred.
