About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Manager in ABL and Factoring to manage a portfolio of commercial clients utilizing asset-based lending and factoring solutions. The PM will serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction, portfolio performance, and risk mitigation while identifying opportunities for cross-selling financial products.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective relationships with existing clients, sharing relevant information with coverage team partners.
- Review and analyze complex business, operational, or technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation.
- Independently review and analyze client portfolios for key issues related to cash flow, liquidity, leverage, working capital, debt coverage, collateral or enterprise value analysis, and repayment sources.
- Partner with coverage teams to understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions to identify and execute on opportunities for modifications, renewals, and refinancings.
- Lead complex initiatives, including cross-functional ones with broad impact, and manage portfolios for risk and problem loan resolutions.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, functional partners, and managers to resolve client issues and achieve business objectives.
- Make decisions and resolve complex issues, leading a team to meet product objectives while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with product management to provide vision and expertise to leadership on evolving market needs for credit solutions.
- Participate in large-scale planning related to product or specialty business objectives.
- Serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience in Asset Based Lending and Factoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, collateral analysis, and loan structuring.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, including interpreting balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of commercial banking products and services.
- Ability to analyze client needs and develop tailored financial solutions.
- Willingness to work on-site at stated location.
- Compliance with specific policies regarding outside activities or personal investing.
