About the Role
Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a Full Time Floral Manager for its Grand Central Store in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will possess prior floral experience, a passion for outstanding customer service, and a talent for merchandising. A cooperative, friendly demeanor and a drive to succeed in a dynamic setting are essential.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the floral department, ensuring quality, freshness, and visual appeal of all products.
- Lead and train floral team members in arranging, wrapping, and merchandising flowers and plants.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Maintain inventory levels, manage ordering, and control shrink to meet department goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated customer inquiries.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety standards within the department.
- Plan and execute seasonal promotions and special events.
- Direct supervision of floral department staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Requirements
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Strong knowledge of flowers, plants, and floral merchandise, with a desire to stay current on trends.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Local candidates only.
- Previous floral experience required; leadership experience preferred.
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
- Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.
- Independent and reliable local travel up to 50% of the time (for vendor visits or training).
