About the Role

Peloton is seeking a Security Engineer to enhance its security operations. This role involves improving detections, creating new ones, building automations, and contributing to the solutions roadmap. The ideal candidate is results-focused, self-driven, and enjoys tackling diverse problems, threats, and alerts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and strategic analysis of intelligence data for threat hunting.
  • Stay updated on vulnerabilities, threat actors, IOCs, TTPs, and trends to identify actionable threats.
  • Provide threat intelligence insights and search the enterprise for anomalous or malicious activity.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineering and SOC to baseline behaviors and build new detections/workflows.
  • Offer triage support for incident response and investigation efforts.
  • Recommend and build countermeasures based on threat analysis and intelligence.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security incident playbooks/runbooks.
  • Prepare and present analysis, findings, and recommendations to management and leadership.
  • Identify and eliminate repetitive SOC workflows using AI-powered triage, LLM assistance, and automation.
  • Design and develop homegrown security tooling, owning the lifecycle from requirements to iteration.
  • Translate threat intelligence and incident learnings into actionable control recommendations to reduce risk.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in Information Security.
  • Experience in incident response or threat detection.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes), SaaS platforms (O365, Google Workspace), or IAM.
  • Strong knowledge of Incident Response principles and processes.
  • Experience with Automation for Alert Intake/Triage/Incident Handling.
  • Expert experience with SIEM tools or data lakes.
  • Experience dissecting attacker methodologies and techniques and/or EDR tooling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools as a primary development accelerator.
  • A learning mindset and excitement for learning new technologies or security areas.
