About the Role
The Caregiver will assist residents in all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities, as indicated in the resident’s care plan.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in their care plan.
- Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents.
- Escort residents to meals and activities.
- Ensure all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
- Document all services provided to assigned residents during the shift.
- Report any change of condition in a resident immediately to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population
- Dementia experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
- Ability to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use proper body mechanics.
- Ability to provide intermittent physical activity including lifting and supporting residents.
