About the Role
This role is responsible for the performance, growth, and profitability of a portfolio of creator and brand accounts, with direct revenue accountability for a key book of business. It is a revenue role for someone who works inside accounts daily, thinks in unit economics, and creates urgency rather than waiting for it to appear. You will manage accounts end to end, including buying media daily, monitoring performance, translating insights into recommendations, and pushing brands and creators to act. You will also grow spend profitably, develop scalable strategies and processes, and onboard new high-priority accounts.
Responsibilities
- Own the health and growth of the portfolio, with a primary success metric of volume of spend at break-even or above.
- Buy and manage media directly in ad accounts daily.
- Monitor campaigns daily to identify and address issues before clients are impacted.
- Drive brands and creators toward optimal whitelisting setups, creative rotations, and spend levels.
- Coordinate with internal teams on creative approvals, creator and brand handle access, brand-safety requirements, and spend pacing.
- Onboard new high-priority accounts quickly and set them up for growth.
- Identify performance blockers (creative, spend, match, handle access, attribution) and resolve them or push clients to resolve them.
- Respond to issues within hours, treating client inaction as a lost dollar.
- Coordinate with a cross-functional team including a brand product manager, creator product marketing manager, operations support, and a media buyer.
- Identify needed resources and support for the portfolio's growth and partner with leadership on hiring.
- Develop a system for triaging accounts based on revenue at risk, urgency, and relationship health.
- Establish a process for managing a high volume of accounts and tracking behavioral service levels (response time, contact frequency, creative acceptance rate).
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in paid social, performance marketing, advertiser success, account strategy, partnerships, or a related field.
- Personally managed seven figures+ of paid social spend per month, working directly in the accounts.
- Been bonused or held directly accountable for advertiser or brand spend personally driven.
- Personally managed a complex portfolio of accounts with direct responsibility for performance, growth, and profitability.
- In-depth understanding of auctions, creative testing, and attribution, including bid strategy, creative fatigue cycles, and audience dynamics.
- Demonstrated radical ownership over paid social outcomes, taking responsibility for results and proactively identifying solutions.
- Strong understanding of performance media unit economics (gross profit, take rates, customer acquisition cost) and their connection to broader business outcomes.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across media buying, creative, operations, product, and client services.
- Experience mentoring or directing the work of others and identifying needed resources for portfolio growth.
- Experience building processes and operating effectively in a lean, rapidly changing, or unstructured environment.
