About the Role
Nursing attendants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers, serving as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Partner with Nurses and ICU Technicians to monitor patient vitals, ensure meal delivery, and provide safe transport. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day, providing comfort and care to keep fast-paced environments running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients
- Ensure the delivery of meals
- Provide safe transport for patients
- Provide compassionate patient focus
- Perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Improve the patient experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment
- Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Previous Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting
- Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program
- Current enrollment in a BSN program - at the junior year level and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum
