About the Role
This role is responsible for driving process and capability improvement to achieve plant/bakery goals by optimizing processes, creating new ones, identifying improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through coaching.
Responsibilities
- Drive process and system improvements by identifying opportunities, implementing continuous improvement programs, and delivering sustainable operational benefits.
- Conduct site assessments to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance.
- Coach, train, and mentor employees on Lean concepts, continuous improvement methodologies, and best practices, developing supporting documentation and training materials.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, employee engagement, quality, and food safety.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
- Lead and support the execution of capital projects, ensuring effective maintenance and optimization of facility assets.
- Implement change management principles at all levels through coaching and employee engagement.
- Achieve plant productivity targets by developing projects, ideas, and best practices linked to plant Loss Analysis.
- Validate new processes and optimize current processes (e.g., Changeovers, Sanitation, CIL, Center lining).
- Implement and train functions on new tools (e.g., standard work, TPM tools, gap analysis, data analysis, loss analysis), ensuring employee capability development.
- Lead and support cross-functional teams through the preparation, execution, and follow-up of continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Engineering, or Production roles, preferably within an industrial Food Manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience leading continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean methodologies such as 5S, Kanban, and Visual Management.
- Proven capability of leading a transformation effort, including change management, stakeholder engagement, and robust communication.
- Ability to coach, inspire, and work with cross-functional managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Experience working within company-wide Lean standardization programs while sharing best practices across multiple sites.
- Ability to influence all levels of the organization and make strategic decisions.
- Ability to work within a corporate-wide lean standardization program and provide best practices for other sites.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and retain well-qualified individuals of diverse talents, interests, and cultural backgrounds.
- Leadership presence to energize, drive, and lead teams, and to influence with integrity at all levels to enable results through others.
