About the Role

Custodians are responsible for the general upkeep of a building and work collaboratively with Custodial Team leads to provide quality custodial services. This role is ideal for individuals seeking meaningful employment and an opportunity to lead more independent lives.

Responsibilities

  • Clean restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, urinals, mirrors, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning supplies.
  • Spot clean doors, partitions, walls, windows, and all horizontal surfaces.
  • Restock paper supplies and empty trash to designated locations.
  • Vacuum carpets daily and shampoo as specified in the contract; sweep and mop other surfaces daily, and perform stripping, waxing, and buffing as required.
  • Comply with all safety rules, standards, and regulations.
  • Mix chemical solutions in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Display a positive attitude and pride in work, representing the organization positively.
  • Display the highest ethical standards in decision-making.
  • Participate in all required meetings.
  • Adhere to the assigned work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethics and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Meet yearly mandatory training requirements.
  • Support service recipients, supervisors, and Custodial Team Leads at assigned contract sites.

Requirements

  • One to three months of previous cleaning experience or completion of an approved custodial training program.
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • May require documentation of a disability, depending on the service contract.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
