About the Role

The post holder will facilitate and deliver school-aged immunisation programmes by assisting nursing teams in schools and office settings to ensure safe and accessible public health services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of public health immunisation programmes.
• Attend community-based vaccination sessions in schools and local settings.
• Collaborate with nursing teams to ensure productive and safe vaccination sessions.
• Facilitate communication between the team, schools, families, and educational institutions.
• Manage consent form collection and track progress toward local area targets.
• Oversee the storage, transport, and delivery of vaccinations to sites.
• Identify and coordinate services for home-schooled children and those in Pupil Referral Units.
• Maintain databases and prepare documentation for school visits.
• Triage and verify online consent systems prior to vaccination sessions.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for School Immunisation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative tasks via phone, email, and in-person.
• Maintain the cold chain and manage vaccine ordering and transport.
• Contribute to team meetings and perform duties commensurate with the role.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• GCSE level education or equivalent with grade C or higher in English and Maths.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently.
• Assertive, team-oriented, and critical thinking mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Experience working in a community or school setting (desirable).
• Experience working with children and young people (desirable).
• Full driving licence (desirable).
