About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Tender Specialist - Commercial Vehicle to support the Sales Manager in tendering activities for Commercial Vehicles. This role is crucial in compiling high-quality bid responses and managing the tender process from collection to post-tender analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Manager in tendering activities.
- Collect tender information, review requirements, assess risks, identify deliverables, and clarify ambiguities.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-tender negotiations.
- Compile high-quality bid responses within required timescales.
- Coordinate with internal departments (finance, technical, legal) for tender documentation.
- Lead tender meetings, presentations, and Q&A sessions, managing minutes and follow-up actions.
- Build and maintain client and industry partner relationships during the bidding process.
- Coordinate tender documentation and provide feedback to enhance success rates.
- Develop and update the library of tender resources and materials.
- Ensure adherence to processes and completion/filing of necessary documents.
- Maintain a tracker for open tenders and update outcomes for audit and reporting.
- Conduct post-tender reviews and analysis, following up on feedback for improvement.
- Engage in market research to understand the competitor landscape.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
- Perform other related activities and contingent assignments.
- Report to the Sales Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in a Commercial, Tendering, or Sales role, preferably in the bus and coach industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement/tender processes and contract terms.
- Thorough understanding of ESG.
- Good command of English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident communicator.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to cope with tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Effective project management and negotiation capabilities.
- Adept at interpreting large volumes of information and summarizing key points.
- Good interpersonal skills, strong team collaboration, and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Proactive, able to work independently, and resourceful.
- Computer proficient, especially in MS Office.
