About the Role
The Child Care Worker implements, monitors, and evaluates youth service plans while providing individual and group counseling, skills development, and daily living assistance in a safe, clean residential environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate youth service plans
- Provide individual and group counseling and skills development
- Assist youth with daily hygiene, food preparation, and routines
- Maintain a clean and safe residence
- Attend parent-teacher conferences and school activities
- Report residence functioning issues to the Child Care Supervisor
- Manage transportation for children to approved destinations
- Purchase and prepare food
- Evaluate and purchase clothing for children
- Build and maintain positive community relationships
- Attend planning meetings, seminars, and treatment sessions
- Schedule and attend medical and dental appointments
- Prepare written logs and critical incident reports
- Perform assigned tasks to support the agency mission
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Three years of relevant experience
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive agency vehicles
- Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to operate office equipment including fax, copier, and scanner
- Ability to learn and use computer software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
