About the Role

The Department of Slavic Languages & Literatures is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach SLA117H1F, Elementary Bosnia/Croatian/Serbian. This course focuses on basic grammar, essential vocabulary for conversation, and the development of reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and conduct classroom instruction
• Design, administer, and grade assignments
• Provide students with adequate feedback
• Manage the graduate component of the class

Requirements

• M.A. degree in Slavic Languages and Cultures
• Native or near-native fluency in spoken and written Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian
• Near-native fluency in English
• Must not be a current University of Toronto undergraduate student, graduate student, or postdoctoral fellow
