About the Role

Unity Health Toronto and the University of Toronto’s Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology are seeking applications for two permanent Anatomical Pathology positions. The successful applicants must be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will provide excellence in surgical pathology diagnostic clinical practice, participate in frozen section diagnosis, after-hours call, and the autopsy service. They will also contribute to the academic mission through collaborative research and/or teaching programs.

Responsibilities

Provide excellence in surgical pathology diagnostic clinical practice.
Participate in frozen section diagnosis.
Participate in after-hours call.
Participate in the autopsy service.
Contribute to the academic mission via participation in collaborative research and/or undergraduate and residency teaching programs.
Contribute to diagnostic innovation, test utilization and clinical engagement.

Requirements

Must be eligible for medical licensure in the province of Ontario.
Must hold postgraduate qualifications in Anatomic, Clinical or General Pathology.
Should be eligible for an academic appointment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology.
Fellowship training or demonstrated subspecialty expertise/commitment is strongly preferred.
A subspecialty focus in Gastrointestinal Pathology would be preferred however other subspecialty areas will be considered.
