About the Role

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all customers. Responsible for maintaining a neat and clean deli operation in accordance with sanitation guidelines. Manages product ordering and inventory levels to promote sales. Assists the deli manager with budgeting and financial aspects, and oversees department clerks.

Responsibilities

• Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
• Smiles, makes eye contact, and thanks customers upon request fulfillment.
• Maintains a neat and clean workstation.
• Assists the deli manager with daily operations, including scheduling, inventory, and financial aspects.
• Merchandises deli food products, including pricing, rotation, shelf allotment, and displays.
• Prepares in-store made prepared food programs.
• Prepares chickens and side orders for the Roaster Chicken program.
• Performs sanitation duties within the department according to regulations (e.g., cleaning slicers, dishes, hot cases, floor).
• Maintains a high level of customer courtesy and service.
• Stocks deli warehouse orders.
• Operates deli department product-weight scales, slicers, and other equipment.
• Maintains Cold case logs, Hot food logs, and Cooling logs consistent with store policy.
• Works within company efficiency standards.
• Controls shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and adheres to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy.
• Basic computer skills.
