About the Role
The Analog Power and Interface Division (APID) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead global applications teams supporting Analog Power product lines. This role involves collaborating with marketing on product strategies and with engineering leaders on technical direction and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, global applications engineering team.
- Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and client-centric problem solving.
- Manage resource allocations across product lines and client support with Analog Power applications team leaders.
- Collaborate with global FAE team leadership to ensure their teams have necessary resources and tools.
- Establish individual product line strategies and roadmaps aligned across Analog Power and business unit objectives.
- Coordinate with leaders in other business units to position complementary products as part of a total system solution.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration within and between new product development teams.
- Discuss client needs directly with key end clients or with FAE teams.
- Stay informed of key industry trends and competitive offerings.
- Collaborate with IC architects on new product definitions to enable client-valued power solutions.
Requirements
- BSEE or MSEE (or equivalent), with an emphasis in power electronics or analog circuit design preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in analog/power semiconductor applications engineering.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Expert-level knowledge of switch-mode power supply topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback, forward, etc.), linear regulators, power modules, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead geographically distributed engineering teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex technical concepts to engineers and executives.
- Ability to balance technical solution elegance with business impact.
- Background in automotive and/or safety-critical product development, including experience with AEC-Q100 and similar automotive standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508 compliant design process.
