About the Role
Responsible for providing technical support at the customer level, primarily supporting sales growth and customer retention efforts with a high-quality customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper use of Health, Safety, and Equipment practices.
- Perform product demonstrations and line trials for prospective and existing customers.
- Conduct in-shop product training for new and existing accounts.
- Resolve product failures/problems by identifying systemic causes and providing solutions.
- Support resolution of color issues with key accounts.
- Support sales and installation of new accounts.
- Provide technical review of the repair process focused on product-related matters to ensure proper product use and enhance customer output.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Some college coursework desired.
- 5+ years of automotive refinishing experience.
- Completion of paint manufacturers' training in waterborne paint application.
- Strong color-matching abilities.
- I car certifications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency in using Outlook, Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
- Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
- Ability to train others, interact with others, and make presentations.
- Ability to solve routine and somewhat repetitive problems by following clear directions and procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
- Work is primarily sedentary; must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Some positions may involve operating a motor vehicle for work-related duties and meeting all applicable eligibility and safety requirements.
