About the Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Anderson Center for Autism, you will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our campus. Your efforts will ensure students, residents, staff, and visitors enjoy a healthy, comfortable, and conducive environment for learning, growth, and success. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment for students, residents, staff, families, and visitors across Anderson's campus.
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties to prevent illness and promote a healthy atmosphere.
  • Support the Operations Department by completing assigned cleaning projects and facility-related responsibilities.
  • Assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks using tools and equipment safely.
  • Maintain and care for assigned tools, equipment, and materials, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Complete assigned activities from start to finish, including cleanup, documentation, and daily work logs.
  • Work independently or collaboratively to complete projects and achieve departmental goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, communication, and interactions.
  • Participate in seasonal snow and ice removal operations to maintain safe campus conditions.
  • Support an environment that promotes safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life for individuals served.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in custodial services, environmental services, facilities maintenance, housekeeping, property maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, maintenance tools, and related equipment.
  • Ability to perform physically active work including lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Complete all required agency training programs.
  • Maintain professional standards of appearance and conduct.
  • Wear designated uniforms and required safety equipment.
  • Follow all agency safety procedures and departmental protocols.
  • Participate in seasonal snow and ice response efforts when assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and daily activity logs.
  • Demonstrate respect for coworkers, individuals served, families, and visitors.
  • Support agency initiatives that promote health, safety, and quality of life.
