About the Role
The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operation of the Distribution and Logistics departments within the branch, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall facility operations, including supervising team members, monitoring expenses, and overseeing P&L functions.
- Create and ensure a safe workplace and promote a culture of safety.
- Partner with internal leadership to maximize profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead warehouse department processes and practices to align with company goals.
- Define, plan, and develop strategic and long-range goals with the Operations Director.
- Establish operational standards for cost control, safety, and on-time delivery.
- Build a strong employee group.
- Analyze and propose methods for sustained productivity increases.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse.
- Ensure safe working conditions and train employees on proper safety procedures.
- Counsel and manage employees on attendance, performance, and misconduct.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines, including OSHA and DOT.
- Oversee the Transportation Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated Management experience in Warehouse Operations required.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and operational processes.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal OSHA safety and FMCR regulations.
- Experience managing in a unionized work environment is a plus.
- Possess strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- AS400 experience is a plus.
- Experience in forklift certification and inspection, hazmat certification, and operating various warehouse equipment.
- High comfort level working in a diverse environment.

- $88,000 to $105,000
