About the Role

This role involves managing a diverse patient panel including transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, and general internal medicine patients within a world-renowned transplant group. The work integrates general and perioperative medicine, liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure, specialty cardiac care, and end-organ disease management to maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes. You will oversee care for medically complex patients, collaborating with a full complement of consult services, radiology, and an inpatient pharmacy team. The service load is designed for excellent work-life balance at Sutter Health's Flagship Hospital, CPMC, recognized for its quality and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse panel of transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology and general internal medicine patients.
  • Integrate general and perioperative medicine, liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure and specialty cardiac care, and end-organ disease management.
  • Maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Oversee care for medically complex patients.
  • Work closely with consult services, radiology, and inpatient pharmacy.
  • Provide patient care with a focus on work-life balance.
  • Work with top-tiered subspecialists.
  • No ICU rounding.

Requirements

  • BC/BE in Internal Medicine
  • Active and unrestricted CA Medical License
  • Experience with tertiary care medicine is highly preferred

  • 14 shifts/28 days
  • Day shifts (8am - 6pm)
  • Swing Shifts (3pm – 10pm)
