About the Role

This role involves managing a diverse patient panel including transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, and general internal medicine patients within a world-renowned transplant group. The work integrates general and perioperative medicine, liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure, specialty cardiac care, and end-organ disease management to maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes. You will oversee care for medically complex patients, collaborating with a full complement of consult services, radiology, and an inpatient pharmacy team. The service load is designed for excellent work-life balance at Sutter Health's Flagship Hospital, CPMC, recognized for its quality and patient care.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse panel of transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology and general internal medicine patients.
Integrate general and perioperative medicine, liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure and specialty cardiac care, and end-organ disease management.
Maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Oversee care for medically complex patients.
Work closely with consult services, radiology, and inpatient pharmacy.
Provide patient care with a focus on work-life balance.
Work with top-tiered subspecialists.
No ICU rounding.

Requirements

BC/BE in Internal Medicine
Active and unrestricted CA Medical License
Experience with tertiary care medicine is highly preferred
