About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to work with a renowned transplant group, managing a diverse patient panel across various specialties including transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, and general internal medicine. The hospitalist work integrates general and perioperative medicine, liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure, specialty cardiac care, and end-organ disease management to maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes. You will oversee care for medically complex patients, collaborating with a full complement of consult services, radiology, and an inpatient pharmacy team. The service load is designed for excellent work-life balance, allowing for careful patient care at Sutter Health's Flagship Hospital, CPMC, recognized for its quality and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse panel of transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology and general internal medicine patients.
- Integrate general and perioperative medicine, liver disease, complex GI, advanced heart failure and specialty cardiac care, and end-organ disease management.
- Oversee care for medically complex patients.
- Collaborate with consult services, radiology, and inpatient pharmacy.
- Provide patient care within a team that maximizes patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine
- Active and unrestricted CA Medical License
- Experience with tertiary care medicine is highly preferred
