About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 3+ years of experience and a CPA designation (or one in progress) to take ownership of accounting for our SimpleTax, Mortgages, and Cash products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including product analysis and month-over-month variance analysis.
- Help build and implement accounting processes for new product launches.
- Prepare monthly accruals and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Support the month-end close process and assist in documenting new accounting policies/procedures.
- Partner closely with Operations and Data teams to ensure seamless communication and accurate reporting.
Requirements
- CPA designation (or actively working towards completion).
- Strong foundation in IFRS and product accounting principles, specifically revenue recognition.
- Hands-on experience supporting fintech products (Cash, Mortgages, Tax, credit offerings), including revenue accounting and reconciliations.
- Proven ability to assess/document accounting treatments and partner with Data, Operations, and FP&A.
- Excellent communication skills, highly detail-oriented, naturally curious, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
