About the Role

Join Wealth Management Europe's Data Governance team to manage and utilize data across the organization. You will be responsible for key aspects of the data governance strategy, including maintaining the Collibra metadata hub, implementing quality controls, and building reliable dashboards. This role involves cross-team collaboration to solve data challenges and shape data governance at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and expansion of metadata and data lineage in Collibra, building out the Data Catalogue and Business Glossary.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards to drive governance initiatives and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Define and implement data quality rules by engaging with business stakeholders and analyzing datasets.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards to provide stakeholders with necessary insights.
  • Identify data issues proactively, investigate root causes, and implement improvements across the organization.
  • Support the delivery of the WME data governance program in alignment with RBC's enterprise standards.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases.
  • Proven experience with data governance tools (Collibra) and data visualisation platforms (Tableau/PowerBI).
  • Solid understanding of data management principles, data flow, and governance policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in financial services with a strong understanding of the business context.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.
