About the Role

The Broadcast Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for broadcasters, production personnel, and tournament staff within the US Open Broadcast Center. This role provides administrative support, manages visitor check-ins, answers inquiries, and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the broadcast office during the tournament.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist broadcasters, media personnel, vendors, and guests entering the Broadcast Office.
  • Manage visitor check-in procedures and verify credentials as needed.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct individuals to the appropriate departments or contacts.
  • Coordinate deliveries, mail distribution, and office supplies.
  • Scan credentials.
  • Maintain reception area and office organization.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and administrative tasks.
  • Support broadcast operations staff with general office and logistical needs.
  • Communicate professionally with internal departments and external partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and follow tournament policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or event operations experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the US Open.
