About the Role

As a Senior Architect AI, you will design and oversee the end-to-end AI platform architecture for Liberty Global's telecommunications services. You will bridge technical excellence with business value, ensuring AI solutions integrate seamlessly with infrastructure while meeting operational, budget, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain comprehensive AI platform architecture spanning data pipelines, model development, infrastructure, and deployment frameworks.
• Own the technical vision for AI platform evolution to support business requirements across customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Define architectural standards, design patterns, and technology selection criteria for scalable AI implementations.
• Ensure architectural decisions align with operational requirements, budget constraints, and business priorities.
• Manage AI platform integration with core telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring data flow and system reliability.
• Design integration patterns and API strategies that maintain security, performance, and data quality.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and engineering teams to align AI solutions with overall technology architecture.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and quality assurance practices for AI platform components.
• Provide technical expertise and architectural guidance throughout the AI solution development lifecycle.
• Translate business requirements into technical architectures and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Review and approve technical designs for scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with operations teams on deployment strategies, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Support technical due diligence for acquisitions, investments, or partnerships.
• Contribute to budget planning and infrastructure investment recommendations.
• Design architectures that optimize operational efficiency through automation and resource utilization.
• Define and govern lifecycle management and end-of-existence models for AI components.
• Validate business cases by establishing metrics, measurable outcomes, and ROI.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in software architecture or technical lead roles.
• 4-5 years of experience focused on AI/ML platforms and data-intensive systems.
• Proven experience designing end-to-end architectures for AI/ML systems in production environments.
• Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with MLOps frameworks and practices.
• Understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies including Kanban and SAFE.
• Deep understanding of telecommunications systems and OSS/BSS integration patterns.
• Experience with distributed systems design, API architecture, and microservices.
• Knowledge of database technologies, data warehousing, and streaming platforms like Kafka or Pulsar.
• Understanding of budget planning and cost modeling for large-scale platforms.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets to generate actionable business insights.
