About the Role
CACI is seeking a Journeyman Scientist and Science Technician to support a program focused on combating evolving threats, exploitation, replication, and operational rehearsal. This role contributes to the development and application of models and simulations for military and commercial technologies, ensuring Warfighter readiness and future capabilities. The position involves applying data science methodologies to mission requirements, supporting the development of analytical models for DoD simulation environments in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training exercises and operational planning.
Responsibilities
- Apply established data science methodologies to mission-critical requirements in support of Army M&S programs
- Fine-tune existing predictive models to improve accuracy for specific mission sets, such as predictive maintenance for fleet readiness
- Acquire, process, and interpret structured and unstructured datasets to extract actionable insights
- Develop custom analytical pipelines and tools to support M&S and AI systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data integrity for complex simulations
- Support the full data lifecycle including data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting
- Participate in the development of data-driven solutions for simulation analysis workflows
- Work with DoD M&S environments and toolsets to translate data into meaningful analytical conclusions
- Support 24/7 operations during exercises and events as required
- Maintain documentation and provide technical reports IAW contract requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- 5 years relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Active TS/SCI clearance
Skills
- Experience with DoD Modeling & Simulation environments (e.g., JLVC, JTLS-GO, OneSAF, WARSIM)
- Familiarity with military operations, exercises, or DoD mission sets
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and AI analysis workflows
- Knowledge of big data platforms and cloud computing architectures
- Experience supporting Army or Joint training exercises
- Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures
