About the Role
The Account Manager will serve as the primary commercial lead for the Nutrition & Bioindustry team, responsible for growing an assigned customer portfolio, developing new business, and building long-term partnerships to drive revenue and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customers to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers as the primary commercial point of contact.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by delivering compelling value propositions.
- Lead the sales process from opportunity identification through proposal development, contract negotiation, and implementation.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer goals.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts, and manage opportunities in CRM systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform commercial strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales or account management experience in specialty food ingredients, food manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success in growing existing accounts and developing new business.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage revenue and profitability objectives.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to travel 30–60% of the time.

- $125,000 - $170,000 base salary
- Eligible for performance-based incentive compensation
