About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Executive for HR Data Engineering, Analytics, and Reporting Services. This role will shape the next evolution of HR data platforms and services, driving modernization, innovation, and alignment with enterprise data and technology strategies. The leader will advance cloud adoption, strengthen data governance and analytics, and position HR data as a strategic asset. Additionally, this role will drive the adoption of AI and generative AI capabilities to accelerate delivery, enhance insights, and unlock business value while ensuring responsible use.
Responsibilities
- Provide vision and set direction for all of technology development and infrastructure or service component for a defined business unit
- Manage and allocate appropriate people and financial resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget, and align with strategic objectives
- Develop and monitor long range information technology plans and policies consistent with the strategic objectives and plans of the business unit
- Identify capacity planning, efficiency, availability, business enablement and time to market
- Provide comprehensive consultation to more experienced management regarding business requirements
- Recommend innovations which anticipate the future directions of both business and information technology
- Provide technology solutions for the large business unit, including application portfolio standardization and rationalization
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Requirements
- 10+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 6+ years of management or leadership experience
- 5+ years of enterprise data warehousing, including batch/streaming processing, workload management, scalable storage, and standardized access (SQL/APIs)
- 5+ years Hands-on leadership of data quality, metadata, and governance-aligned delivery in partnership with risk/compliance
- 5+ years of experience operating data platforms in cloud/hybrid environments aligned to enterprise controls and shared responsibility models
- Experience partnering with business and technology leaders; clearly communicate priorities, risks, and tradeoffs
- Experience using automation and GenAI to improve delivery and productivity while operating within governance guardrails (validation, monitoring, lifecycle management)
