About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Apply technical expertise to deliver clear, reliable images that inform complex clinical decisions.
  • Capture images that contribute directly to timely, effective patient care.
  • Adjust seamlessly to the demands of emergency cases, inpatient requests, and time-sensitive procedures without losing focus on patient safety.
  • Ensure every exam is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Stay engaged with progress, welcoming emerging imaging technologies and evolving best practices.
  • Mentor the next generation of technologists.
  • Contribute to teaching, innovation, and clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) within the specialty you wish to practice in.
  • Completion of a Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification.
  • Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program, or recognized equivalent (for X-Ray, CT, Angio & IR and Breast Imaging).
  • Contrast injection course (preferred for X-Ray, CT, Angio & IR and Breast Imaging).
  • IV insertion course (preferred for X-Ray, CT, Angio & IR and Breast Imaging).
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and 2 course from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) (for Breast Imaging).
  • Completion of over 15 hours of continuing education in Mammography within the past 3 years and a commitment to ongoing continuing education that meets CAR and hospital requirements (preferred for Breast Imaging).
  • Previous Breast Imaging working experience, demonstrating knowledge and experience in digital radiography (preferred for Breast Imaging).
  • Completion of an accredited degree/diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent (for Nuclear Medicine).
  • Certificate of registration in the specialty of Nuclear Medicine from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) (for Nuclear Medicine).
  • Completion of an accredited degree/diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) (for MRI).
  • Cross sectional anatomy course (for MRI).
  • Contrast injection course (for MRI).
  • Completion of an accredited Ultrasonography degree/post diploma program (for Sonographer).
  • Registered with Sonography Canada with CRGS designation (for Sonographer).
  • Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification (preferred for Sonographer).
