Requirements

  • Proven experience in public and private sector infrastructure projects and programmes, ideally across aviation, energy, rail, defence and water sectors, but other sectors such as broader central government, highways, health, and decarbonisation delivery are also of interest.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead complex, multi-disciplinary programmes and PMOs.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, commercial acumen, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in management consulting a plus, including leading or supporting PMO and programme management roles on major commissions.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining senior-level client relationships, managing live programmes and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Track record in winning and retaining clients, cross-selling services, and ensuring delivery aligns with commercial requirements and organisational standards.
  • Experience managing and developing teams within a consultancy environment, including mentoring junior PMO and project controls staff.
  • Ability to implement and oversee PMO functions, governance structures and programme controls strategies, including cost, schedule, risk, and change management.
  • Proficiency in PMO and project controls tools and software such as MS Office, Power BI, Aconex, and Primavera P6.
  • Skilled in guiding baseline development (scope, time, cost, risk), monitoring delivery performance, and overseeing structured governance and reporting processes.
  • Experience in risk analysis and collaborating with programme leadership to address actions, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities.
  • Motivated with a strong professional network and willingness to represent the organisation at industry forums and events.
