About the Role

As a Design Sourcer at Brex, you will play a foundational role in building the company's design talent pipeline. You will identify, engage, and nurture world-class designers who shape Brex's products. This role requires moving quickly, thinking strategically, and creating thoughtful, welcoming first connections with prospective candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-quality talent pipelines across Product Design, Brand Design, and Design Leadership.
  • Focus on proactive sourcing, candidate engagement, and pipeline development in the initial stages of design recruitment.
  • Partner closely with recruiters and design leadership to understand hiring needs, role profiles, and long-term workforce goals.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse design talent across multiple channels, including creative communities, portfolio platforms, social networks, and industry events.
  • Craft thoughtful outreach messaging that reflects Brex’s brand and mission.
  • Track sourcing performance metrics and support continuous improvement of sourcing strategies.
  • Contribute to building inclusive hiring practices.
  • Assist with early-stage candidate evaluation, such as portfolio review and initial screening alignment.
  • Lead sourcing and outreach efforts for design roles using recruiting platforms, creative communities, portfolio sites, and professional social networks.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates through personalized, thoughtful outreach.
  • Support evaluation of design portfolios, focusing on craft quality, systems thinking, and user-centered design approaches.
  • Calibrate candidate profiles, craft standards, and pipeline priorities with recruiters and design leaders.
  • Track sourcing metrics such as response rates, pipeline conversion, and diversity indicators to optimize strategy.
  • Maintain accurate and organized candidate data in recruiting systems and dashboards.
  • Support employer branding efforts within the design community through social engagement and event participation.
  • Contribute to improving sourcing processes, candidate experience, and inclusive hiring practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience sourcing or recruiting for design roles including Product Design, Brand Design, and Design Leadership.
  • Strong sourcing experience with AI tools and expertise across platforms such as LinkedIn and other talent networks.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate design portfolios, craft quality, and user-centered thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for personalized candidate engagement.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze sourcing performance and improve strategy.
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder partnership skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in talent sourcing.
  • Ability to manage multiple pipelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building design pipelines across multiple geographies (e.g., US, Canada, LATAM).
  • Familiarity with market intelligence, talent mapping, or compensation benchmarking for design roles.
  • Experience supporting employer branding or talent marketing initiatives within the design community.
  • Prior experience sourcing for high-growth technology companies or startups.
