About the Role

Advantech Industries Inc. is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to maintain accurate inventory of shop tools and equipment, and to repair or replace them as needed. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring tools are available and functional to meet quality and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tracking system of all shop tools & equipment inventory.
• Investigate tool quality problems and recommend or implement changes to tooling processes.
• Maintain working relationships with outside tooling vendors.
• Receive requisition requests, gather items, and record dispensed and returned items.
• Maintain minimum quantities of commonly used tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Federal (OSHA), State, and Local safety laws.
• Ensure accurate inventory by reviewing inventory summaries and details.
• Assist and train less experienced attendants.
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance and repairs of all tools and equipment.
• Secure diagnostic and/or repair work from outside repair facilities if required.

Requirements

• Must have a thorough knowledge of tooling for CNC machines.
• Function as a member of a customer-driven quality team with limited supervision.
• Hold oneself accountable for meeting project outcome commitments.
• Maintain adequate performance and motivation despite routine or repetitive tasks.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directives.
• Ability to work well under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and be flexible.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Sufficient computer skills to maintain accurate inventory records.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder (ITAR Restricted).
