About the Role
The PCMI Instructor will educate, train, and mentor students in a 14-week, paid precision manufacturing program. This role involves delivering classroom instruction, providing hands-on machine training, ensuring safety compliance, and preparing students for successful careers in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily lesson plans
- Provide hands-on instruction for machine operation
- Order raw materials for student projects
- Manage course budgets for books and materials
- Facilitate student access to ToolingU software
- Maintain inventory of tools and tooling
- Grade student performance on written tests and machine operations
- Communicate behavioral expectations to students
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Provide ongoing mentorship to graduates transitioning to the shop floor
Requirements
- 20 years of machining experience
- US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder due to ITAR restrictions
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
