About the Role
We are looking for hardworking individuals with a mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain folding and booklet bindery equipment. We will provide on-the-job training. Come work for a company with an excellent culture and an opportunity for you to grow your skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain folding and booklet bindery equipment.
- Interpret orders to determine document arrangement and number of copies.
- Set up and operate equipment as trained in accordance with management’s direction, job specifications, safe operating guidelines, and LPi processes.
- Set up collating machines according to the press run list, add or remove paper grids, set for the size of paper to collate, stitch type, and trim and fold for the job.
- Load uncollated copies into collating machine and feed tray while following specified page order.
- Run single sets of copies to calibrate the job.
- Operate the machine to collate publications, following standard operating procedures.
- Check for correct information by continually monitoring finished copies for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain logs for production measures and history of equipment, parts, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance, including cleaning the equipment.
- Box, label, and prepare collated publications for shipping.
- Actively participate in available Continuous Improvement (CI) training.
- Participate in CI initiatives by submitting Opportunities, Problems and Ideas (OPIs) and by working on solution implementation.
- Collaborate cross functionally and cross-center to further generate ideas and knowledge sharing.

- Knowledge and skills related to continuous improvement including: waste reduction, 5S, standardization, point-of-use storage, quality at the source, etc
