About the Role
The Senior Events Executive supports the Head of Event in all aspects of event strategy, planning, execution, and evaluation, focusing on national and B2B event programs to deliver high-profile events and strengthen the BYD and DENZA brands.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an annual events calendar, identifying key national and B2B events for participation.
- Support the Event Manager in delivering new product launches and high-profile Tier One events.
- Plan and strategically develop the national events program, taking ownership of assigned events.
- Manage events end to end across national B2C and B2B programs, collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
- Lead project management activities for event proposals and experiences.
- Tailor event experiences to specific audiences and objectives, ensuring a best-in-class guest journey.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including vehicle movements, staffing, and materials.
- Manage onsite event activations, ensuring smooth delivery and high standards.
- Support the development and implementation of efficient event processes.
- Ensure brand ambassadors and event teams are appropriately briefed and trained.
- Promote BYD and DENZA events with the wider Marketing team.
- Create and distribute clear internal event briefing documents.
- Manage event administration, including purchase requests, invoices, and budget tracking.
- Support post-event reporting and evaluation to improve future programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of two years' relevant experience in event planning, event management, or experiential marketing.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Calm, proactive, and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
- Confidence working collaboratively with agencies, suppliers, internal teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of event impact on business objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and general digital/event management tools.
- Flexible and hands-on approach, with willingness and ability to travel frequently.
- Genuine passion for events, customer experiences, automotive, mobility, and innovative brand activation.
