About the Role

The non-contentious Construction team is seeking a Junior Associate to join the London office. The role involves advising on a wide range of construction law solutions, shaping procurement and contracting strategies, and negotiating project documentation for diverse clients including developers, investors, and public institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Shape procurement and contracting strategies for clients
  • Negotiate and draft construction, development, and project documentation
  • Prepare agreements that reflect client interests and risk allocation
  • Advise on live projects to avoid disputes and support commercial negotiations
  • Provide advice on payment, delays, and project risk management
  • Engage in business development activities
  • Develop sector-specific knowledge and expertise

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor (NQ-2 years PQE)
  • Previous experience within a construction team or housing practice
  • Experience in non-contentious construction law
  • Experience with standard form construction contracts
  • Experience in commercial or housing development work
  • Working knowledge of JCT, NEC, and EPC forms and standard amendments
  • Willingness to handle bespoke agreements and large-scale due diligence
