About the Role

This 12-month fixed-term position supports the Sweden Accounting Operations function, ensuring timely and accurate accounting close processes and governance through a business process outsourcing model. The role provides continuity for the Swedish legal entities, including Midasplayer AB and nine other companies, and requires thought leadership in accounting, statutory, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure statutory financial statements and relevant tax filings are completed, filed timely, and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Support Global ABK's local statutory reporting and compliance process.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to support local tax filings and tax planning initiatives.
• Liaise with Swedish external advisors and authorities as required.
• Prepare and review tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the audit process.
• Support intercompany accounting across EMEA group, transfer pricing calculations and related statutory reporting.
• Govern vendor teams performing Accounting Operations activities.
• Review financial close journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and analytical reviews.
• Research, review, and document accounting standards, guidelines, and policies.
• Field complex accounting policy questions from business partners.
• Conduct P&L and BS analysis and respond to inquiries from business and finance partners.
• Investigate and resolve business partner inquiries, accounting deviations, and other anomalies.
• Serve as an escalation point of contact to resolve complex issues with vendors.
• Facilitate issue resolution with leadership, business partners, team members, and vendor leadership.
• Provide escalated support and troubleshooting to users.
• Implement and execute standard, global processes for key business activities.
• Manage continuous process improvement and identify process optimization and/or automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with 3+ years post qualification work experience in accounting or finance.
• Accounting close/financial reporting experience.
• Ability to influence without authority and drive accountability.
• Strong collaboration and business partnership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive experience and proven ability to work with international teams.
• Problem solving skills and root cause analysis with resolution.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
