About the Role
The Events Operation Technician supports the college's mission by providing assistance for campus meetings, events, and conferences. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of campus facilities, space availability, and office layouts to ensure efficient event setups. The schedule is flexible and based on event needs, with communication occurring in weekly meetings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, set up, and break down furniture and equipment for on-campus events in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of furniture and equipment, ensuring the storage area is organized and neat.
- Clean and repair tables and chairs as needed.
- Coordinate with Facilities Physical Plant for items not in inventory.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure safety and performance, completing inspection logs before each use.
- Maintain the cleanliness of assigned vehicles daily, removing trash and debris after each use.
- Perform light custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming before, during, or after events.
- Attend meetings to communicate setup and breakdown needs for campus events and meetings.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a position involving daily, physical labor.
- 1 year of experience in a position moving furniture or setting up and breaking down for various events.
- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the USA.
- No Visa sponsorship is offered for this position.
