About the Role

As a Partner on our service counters, you'll demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, feeling proud of its ethical sourcing and recommending recipes. You'll bring our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers to life, building lasting customer relationships and maximizing sales and profit. This role is part of the food service team, including working on Bakery, Meat and Fish, Cheese prep and Branch Cook. We are looking for dedicated food loving Partners to help build a brand new Waitrose shop from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Take responsibility for your own food counter ensuring the highest presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
Stay on top of stock levels, ensuring products are available when needed.
Take great care while working with open food and ensure all due diligence and health & safety protocols are followed.
Help to reduce food wastage.
Maintain knowledge of new products and have a good understanding of Waitrose's food values.
Support the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.

Requirements

Communication skills to enable effective teamwork and customer interaction.

Skills

Experience of working in a customer facing role is welcomed.
Experience of working in a catering / hospitality environment.
Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Benefits

Any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £3.75 per hour.
