About the Role
Support the sale of Chiller products through JCI HVAC System Branches and JCI sales/marketing personnel in export markets. This role has a strong impact on the success of the Data Center Chiller Solutions business by providing pre-sale technical support, answering system level product application inquiries, generating special quotations, and supporting order execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on the application and installation of assigned Chiller Solutions equipment in HVAC systems.
- Offer systems applications advice, creative solutions to unique customer needs, and leverage competitor knowledge for advantages.
- Participate in the development of tools and documentation to support field sales and automate common inquiries.
- Respond to inquiries for product details using in-house engineering systems and documentation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for chiller systems in data center applications.
- Design and customize chiller systems tailored to data center environments, ensuring optimal cooling efficiency and energy utilization.
- Assist and counsel sales personnel in resolving equipment/job/code challenges.
- Communicate and follow up with sales personnel, design engineers, and product management teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and responses are executed.
- Obtain supplier quotations to communicate cost and lead time for special product requests.
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of products, market conditions, industry organizations, governmental regulations, and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience preferably in the HVAC industry or a related Chiller Technology field
- Knowledge of the principles of refrigeration systems and associated equipment
- Up to 15% travel is needed for factory visits, customer site visits and field visits related to training
