About the Role
This role involves working as part of a small team to deliver in-house UK payroll and outsourced payrolls in Europe. The company fosters a culture of belonging, celebrating differences, and intentionally seeks diverse perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Check and format data from various sources for upload into the Dayforce payroll system.
- Ensure receipt of files from various sources, including upstream systems like Workday HR.
- Run reports from payroll and HR systems.
- Administer company pension rules and ensure online filing of pension returns.
- Administer benefits, including uploading files, checking outputs, and transmitting data to third-party providers.
- Process bonus and other special payments.
- Liaise with HMRC and external organizations on pay inquiries.
- Business-partner with HR, Reward, Finance, Global Mobility, and other teams to deliver company policies on pay and pensions.
- Handle expatriate payroll rules.
- Process off-cycle payments.
- Calculate and apply statutory and other deductions.
- Check payrolls and ensure senior sign-off.
- Calculate and transmit funding requests.
- Create bank files and ensure authorization.
- Assist with payroll audits.
- Assist with year-end activities, including reconciliations.
- Learn key local country rules for European payrolls.
- Assemble inputs, format, and check data before onward transmission for European payrolls.
- Check draft European payrolls, approve, and oversee payroll delivery in line with internal policies and local rules.
- Upload bank files and ensure transmission for European payrolls.
- Ensure suppliers deliver European payrolls to Service Level Agreements.
Requirements
- At least two years of previous experience processing payroll in the UK.
- Experience with European payroll is an advantage.
