About the Role
The New School's College of Performing Arts is seeking Temporary New York String Orchestra Seminar Interns to support the New School Concerts Department's 2026 New York String Orchestra Seminar. Interns will gain hands-on experience in arts administration, learning administrative and operations skills through direct involvement in a nationally acclaimed pre-professional orchestral training program.
Responsibilities
- Support the program director in administrative and operational duties
- Serve as on-site liaison with hotel staff
- Attend all learning sessions to which assigned
- Represent the NYSOS professionally
- Advance internship learning goals for participants through additional assigned responsibilities
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in live performing arts
- Professional, educational, or volunteer experience in live performing arts
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited institution or equivalent
- Availability all day each day December 18 - 28, 2026
- Must pay for and arrange own transportation to and from New York City
