About the Role
NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is a leading institution providing top-rated, personalized care. This role is crucial to patient safety in a high-volume department, responsible for cleaning and reprocessing scopes and sterilizing equipment, supplies, and instruments.
Responsibilities
- Manually clean and reprocess scopes in a safe and cost-effective manner using established policies and procedures.
- Execute the cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of equipment, supplies, and instruments following prescribed procedures and techniques.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or certified by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
