About the Role
Capital One is seeking a Performance Creative Lead to drive the creative strategy for its fastest-growing consumer product. This role involves leading the creative vision for social, video, and display content to accelerate mobile app adoption and user acquisition, working closely with the Growth team, Brand team, and external partners to build a high-volume, high-converting ad engine.
Responsibilities
- Lead Performance Creative Strategy: Own and drive the creative vision and strategy for social, video, and display advertising to fuel user acquisition for Capital One’s fastest-growing consumer product, focusing on performance metrics, conversion drivers, and channel growth.
- Scale App-Focused Channels: Lead creative execution across mobile app acquisition campaigns, developing winning, native-first creative concepts tailored for major channels.
- Manage Content Sourcing & Creative Pipeline: Establish, scale, and manage a robust content sourcing engine, collaborating with external creators, agencies, customer partners, and internal creative teams to produce high-performing video, static, and text ads.
- Drive Creative Testing & Iteration: Manage a high-volume performance creative pipeline, including writing briefs, analyzing video metrics, and collaborating with design teams to iterate on ad assets. Translate channel-specific performance data into creative insights and testing roadmaps.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with the Growth team to align creative production with channel budgets, scaling targets, and growth goals. Partner with Capital One’s Brand team to ensure brand safety while pushing performance creative boundaries.
- Ensure Compliance & Operational Excellence: Audit active campaigns and maintain adherence to compliance processes within a regulated environment. Liaise with internal risk and legal teams to document and remediate compliance issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or paid acquisition.
- At least 3 years of experience driving creative strategy and execution for paid social, video, or display advertising channels.
- At least 3 years of experience managing creative testing pipelines and partnering closely with paid media channel owners.
- Strong experience navigating strict compliance, legal, and risk frameworks within a highly regulated industry or corporate environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex channel data into clear, high-level business insights and strategic roadmaps for executive leadership.

- Deep hands-on experience designing winning performance creative for app-focused acquisition channels, specifically Meta, TikTok, and Reddit.
- Experience managing a high-volume performance creative pipeline, including writing briefs, analyzing video metrics (e.g., hook rates, watch time), and collaborating with design teams to rapidly iterate on ad assets.

- Sales Territory: $161,500 - $184,300
- McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800
- New York, NY: $193,800 - $221,200
