About the Role
The Assistant General Manager is the senior business leader in the Cafe, supporting the General Manager in upholding brand standards and core values while meeting or exceeding Owners’ Objectives. This role is responsible for asset management of the entire facility and is expected to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to maximize the business’ full potential.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate financial comprehension in achieving the Cafe’s key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Sales to execute the Cafe Sales & Marketing plan and achieve entrée count growth.
- Mentor and coach junior management staff on financial goals.
- Communicate a clear operating direction based on business understanding, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
- Support all departments in consistent execution of systems and processes to deliver products and services to brand standards.
- Support the GM in building a highly functional team with a shared vision and values.
- Champion change and ensure successful implementation of local and company initiatives.
- Foster an environment of customer advocacy where team members prioritize the guest.
- Execute standards for guest satisfaction that meet or exceed brand standards.
- Be responsive and hospitable to guest feedback from all sources.
- Support Cafe staffing objectives by attracting and retaining talented individuals and placing them in positions that leverage their skills.
- Define goals and expectations for management and hourly team members, holding them accountable for performance.
- Support staff development and advancement along career paths.
- Serve as a Learning Coach, developing and executing learning programs to drive continuous improvement and retention.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the hospitality industry, including restaurant front-line operations.
- Successful completion of pre-employment process, including two satisfactory reference checks.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Potential and aspiration to serve as a Hard Rock General Manager.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree in HRM/Business or Culinary preferred.
